Central Ohio has always been home. I grew up in the multi-ethnic neighborhoods of the South End of Columbus, Ohio during the 1950s and 60s. An early interest in journalism provided a path into electronic media; radio, television and video production.

A large part of my life has centered around writing. Beginning with college newspaper articles and broadcast news copy, which merged years later into my two dominant interests; history and storytelling. As I grew older, I found meaning in the seemingly meaningless, and commonplace acts of life. Relationships, simple details, and ordinary observations.

I’ve always considered myself a student. Being a writer, director and narrator of historical documentaries eventually gave me permission to think like a teacher while expressing myself as an artist. Writing was something I was at ease with. The process is a self-probing, revealing exercise into who one is as an individual, while timestamping the culture for the future. As you work through ideas and notions, your everyday senses will undoubtedly leave some of who you are on the page.

I’m guessing the following pages will offer a bit of insight into who I am.
